backing up iphone help asap

So i haven't updated my firmware in a really long time

what is the best app to back up all my cydia apps,all my custom themes ring tones etc?settings etc

any free ones? thanks

Aptbackup.

Requires you to restore from backup in order to work tho.

If I were you, for themes and ringtones I would SSH in to back those up. Then put them back on your phone after upgrading it.

No it backs up Cydia packages.

The way your phone is set up settings-wise is usually restored if you opt to restore from a backup that is normally created by iTunes before you upgrade/restore.

ok so i just hit the backup button then go ahead and plug into itunes sync and do my jail break etc?

i recomend pkgbackup... backups cydia apps, there settings, and even app store data....8$ but so worth it

Well aren't you updating? You'd have to create the backup, do the upgrade, then do the jailbreak. Like I said though if you want to backup your jb stuff and you don't want to do it manually, you can use aptbackup or pkgbackup. Aptbackup is free but it isn't exactly always reliable. Pkgbackup is paid but more reliable.
