Im sick of my BB, Should I buy a Iphone with new contract?
I decided to ask you iphone gurus for your opinion. I understand that the iphone 5 will comeout in the fall but no set day Sept-oct. The reason why want to get an iphone is because im extremly sick of my Blackberry 8900. I used to have a iphone 3g but it got stolen 2 years ago. So ive been stuck with this stupid blackberry and I feel like im being ripped off because the internet sucks and the only thing that 99% of BB users have internet, is for BBM which isnt that serious. So im basically paying internet to look at my emails and BBm chat because the apps suck and the Browser is gross.
I waited till now to want to get an iphone because people were telling me that usually each summer they release a new model but this time its different. And Im wondering will the iphone 5 be a big difference then the 4, if it isnt i might as well buy one now.

Nobody knows for sure yet if it will be June/July or September. I am thinking it will be just an incremental update this time though. You definitely need to get rid of that blackberry though lol

Definitely buy an Iphone. Thats like asking a kid in a candy store if he wants any candy, lol. Anyways, rumors abound about what, if any, updates will appear on the Iphone 5. With a major update from the 3GS it would seem unlikely there will be any significant changes to the Iphone 4. If you can wait then I would see what the Iphone 5 has to offer. If you can't wait then you will be very happy with the Iphone 4. I know that I love my jb Iphone 4.

^It also depends upon the preferred network. If you're a loyal AT&T customer, go for it
On the other hand if you want carrier flexibility, buy a used unlockable device or get a new and expensive factory unlocked.

I would wait for the IP5, past history releases are always around June but I haven't been keeping up with IP5 news. The 4G capability/Camera/Processor/etc. would be worth the wait.
I personally got a IP4 a few months back just because the cost had come down and IP5 was out of my price range and at that point it had a bigger life span; but so close to June now I would wait for IP5.
If you want to spend less and just have a phone now or wait till IP5 prices go down you could just get a IP4, it certainly does the job and will be useful for a long time or at least until 4G becomes readily available state-wide.
IP4 Pro's:
The retina-screen resolution will blow you away/Ipod&Iphone in one/HD video and camera are awesome/battery is quite adequate/fast&responsive(little bit of a slow down when running multiple apps tho)/a lot of good pro's look up a review.
IP4 Con's:
Okay you can look at IP4 as a bare bones phone, kind of think of it as Firefox without all your add-ons and preferences gone.
It's almost mandatory I think to jail-break it and get feature apps that Apple forgot to include.
Apple left out a lot of simple things a phone should have which is really retarded IMO that may turn you off.
Firstly, the simple interface has a downside to it, details for power-users are missing such as something so simple as to see the file details of a file or even the size of a pic... Apple dumbed-down the phone so much it's almost insulting.
My old Ipod would let me use it as a removable hard-disk but IP4 apparently doesn't let you do this.
CAMERA ISSUES!! Get used to taking your pics and videos ONLY in landscape because in portrait most windows-native programs and email clients will not read the EXIF data(tells program what orientation the photo was taken in)so your gonna have friends saying,"wtf you send me a sideways pic and video, your camera sux!"
Multi-tasking lies! The programs don't work in the background they go into hibernation, this can cause delays in data arrivals etc.
I can go on and on with my rant lol but if you get one you will notice the little things that all add up into a frustrating rant on a forum one day.
Pro's & Con's ehh I'd say 70/30 with all it's short-falls it is still an awesome phone, one of the best on the market still.
You will no doubt love it and hate it at times but you will stay together in the long-run and have little IP babies.
Goodluck

Why don't you sell the blackberry. Buy an iPhone 3G with that money and use it until the iPhone 5 comes out?
