I Have Backgrounder, Why Does My Streaming Audio Stop?

So here's a question:

I have a 3GS running 4.1, jailbroken with backgrounder installed. I enjoy several streaming audio apps, some of which work with multi-tasking, some of which do not. One that does not is the Shoutcast app. For whatever reason, they never updated it and so when you close it- the music stops. Which shouldn't be a big deal if you have backgrounder installed, right? And yet even when I hold the home button down and background shoutcast, the music stops. I've checked and rechecked the settings and I cannot figure out WHY this app won't work with backgrounder. Granted, most of the streaming audio apps I use now were updated to work with official multi-tasking, but it seems that backgrounder should still work on the ones that do not. And yet for shoutcast at least, that's not the case.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here? Is there some setting I've overlooked? Or did backgrounding streaming audio apps stop working when multi tasking came out? I feel like there should be a way to make this work. If anyone has any info, I'd really appreciate it.

i think most are like that. when streamin u cant background.. i am 100 percent sure about youtube on that..

Well that's weird, because I used to be able to use backgrounder to keep streaming audio apps running. I used it all the time with the last.fm app, before official multitasking became available. Wonder why it stopped working?

But you can with youtube..if it's playing you just hit the home button, double tap it again, scroll left and hit play 'n you can stream youtube..
