Iphone 3gs tethering via bluetooth

Hello all

First let me say if this is the wrong area for this topic I am sorry and I hope the staff will move it to the correct area

Here is my question I have tethering working on my 3gs and am able to tether my sons ipod touch via bluetooth. All appears to be working well!! I am surprised so still waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Ok here is the question what is the expected xfer rate between the two? I am not expecting blazing speeds just enough to allow him to play a few games requiring connection to a game server (WE games mostly).

I know that there are "better" tethering options via jailbreak but is it possible to JB 4.3.1 atm?

you can jb 4.3.2/4.3.1(mitus well go to 4.3.2).

not really getting what else your asking, but it should be around speed of a router->laptop, maybe slughtly less

I did JB the phone just a few ago all went well ... actually was much easier than i expected...

Sorry I am not sure how else to ask my question ... just wanted top see if it was all worth it ... since 3g connection is slooooow to begin with I did not want the data to crawl by the time it reached my sons ipod touch
