iPhone GURUS..pls help :( .. Stuck Bad, tried everything!

Not the same "Stuck on Apple Issue" - Please Help..
So, I am trying to fix a 3GS 16Gb iphone for someone. It is stuck stuck on the Apple Logo. I thought it was an easy Fix from some of the youtube and google searches. BUT, I absolutely CANNOT get this thing to RESET...I tried holding power and home for over a minute. This thing is stuck on the apple logo completely.

Itunes cannot recognize it.
I cant put into DFU mode because cant turn off the phone even after holding home/power for the longest time.
Someone suggested iBrickr and RecBoot...still no good..

The person Im trying to fix it for does not have a clue what firmware was on it.


Please someone...anyone...any ideas?? HEELLLPPP....thanks in advance!

Are you able to brows the phone through SSH? Like ifunbox or iPhone browser or anything?

Thanks for the reply bro...still no use, can't ssh or browse in the phone. No program recognizes the device. But, somehow it can charge via the data cable.

Sigh....any other suggestions?

no matter what the power/hme button should work to put ut in dfu mode, if they dint then one if them is broken/your doing it wrong.

put it into dfu mode, made a custom fw, put device into pwned dfu and restore to ios 4.3.2 after removing cydia from your hosts file. thatll work.

I really can't put it into DFU....so you are saying either my home or power button is broken? Although I have a feeling that these buttons are fine, I will take it into consideration...I just wish there was another way.

prssing the home+ sleep buttons for 10 seconds while device has the logo on then releasing sleep buttin and countinue holding home for about another 7 seconds should put it into dfu mode. you can and should hse a program like irec/redsn0w to give you the prompts so it becomes easier, honest it should work. dfu is the failsafe
