    Default 3GS Wont Restore!!!!

Alright guys, wife decided to "update" her jailbroken iPhone while I was at work. Obviously, it didnt happen, and got stuck on a connect to itunes screen.I have tried DFU mode, and restoring/ upgrading to the newest firmware, and get errors, the last one was 1015, I believe, so I modified my host files, it went and came back with another error. Anyone offer me any insight on what I should be doing to get this restored, and fixed?

1015 is the error for a successful restore but baseband change failure.

If device is not on 4.2.1 and up then just exit recovery with TinyUmbrella. If it is on a higher fw well please specify which you used to restore to when you received 1015

I am just trying to restore and update, I dont remember the previous firmware, and I am currently at work. Using iTunes, and nothing more for the restore, not trying to preserve the baseband or anything.

Right, but error 1015 can occur anyhow. I never said anything along the lines of preserving the baseband. I am asking you what firmware you just now tried to restore to that got you error 1015.

Either that or just get tinyumbrella to kick your phone out of recovery?

Tiny umbrella won't kick it out, maybe I am not doing it right tho

    Ran Tiny Umbrella, got this:

    04/20/2011 10:09:16.865 Recovery Device connected: 012163000847139 04/20/2011 10:09:16.905 Caching shsh files... 04/20/2011 10:09:16.909 Found [4] shsh files to cache... 04/20/2011 10:09:16.913 Cached [4] shsh files 04/20/2011 10:09:16.918 You are using the current version of TinyUmbrella. 04/20/2011 10:09:16.925 Loaded History... 04/20/2011 10:09:52.512 Sending exit recovery request to 108716635 04/20/2011 10:09:52.817 Recovery Device disconnected: 012163000847139 04/20/2011 10:10:38.021 Recovery Device connected: 012163000847139

I also tried the Fixrecovery-win, it acted like it was running then it just quit.

Still back to apple boot logo, then brings up the connect to itunes restore mode.

ran tiny umbrella and fixreco about 3 more times as a last resort, and it worked! thanks guys
