    Default Stuck!!!

Let me start by saying "thanks" in advance. I simply want to update my iphone 4(s). I don't care about jailbreak or baseband or anything like that at this point.

When I plug in my iphone 4 which is currently at 4.1 into Itunes and choose to update it gives me the following message:

"This device isn't eligible for the requested build."

I've tried restoring, resetting, reinstalling itunes but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? Thanks again.

if u dont care about baseband meanin u must be using AT&t instead of clicking update. restore it

I've tried both my iMac and my MacBook pro with the same results. Not trying to restore to anything. Just want to update to the most current version.

Did you put it into dfu mode? If not hold the power and home button for 10 seconds then let go of the power button until itunes detects an iphone in recovery mode

    Will this suggestion work?

Try restoring your device using a newer firmware.

Nothing seems to work. Was even on the phone with Apple tech support for an hour and still nothing.

If you put the phone in DFU Mode 9Black screen) and then do a shift restore to http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone4/04...7_Restore.ipsw what happens?
