iPhone 3gs restore: dead screen on 4.3.1

First I was on 4.2.1 jailbroken with greenpoison when I decided I wanted to restore to 4.3.1, so i downloaded the 4.3.1 restore firmware when all and successfully restored and locked the phone NOTE: the phone had about 40% of battery left. So i went to the bathroom when i went to go check on the phone and hit the home button and the screen did not respond so i connected it to itunes and it said the phone was in recovery mode so i clicked restore and it gave me error 1601 plz help me!!!!!

EDIT: I went to att and they said that the iphone looks like it is stuck in dfu mode WITHOUT an OS so now what guys?
