Default iOS 4.2.1 vs 4.3.1 - Battery Life

I have heard consistent unfavorable feedback from iOS 4.3 users regarding poor battery life, even when disabling Ping. The 4.3.1 update apparently has not fully rectified the issue relative to prior 4.2.1 battery performance. I am holding off on updating despite the new untethered jailbreak custom firmware. I can run MyWi for hotspot vs the new feature.

What are others experiences with 4.3.1 battery life vs. 4.2.1 on iPhone 4 ?

All you need to do on 4.3.1 is go to settings general restrictions enable restrictions and turn off ping notifications and your battery life is about the same as 4.2.1. That is str8 from apple tech support
