Can I sync just movies, not apps?

I would like to add some movies to my kids' iTouch. I don't need to do anything with the apps. Can I just sync Movies and not Apps? Because whenever I do deselect the Sync Apps button, it asks if I want to delete all my apps on my device (NO!).

The reason why I don't want to sync apps is because it messes up the icon layout. It's a major PITA to re-arrange everything. Again.

Uncheck the box on the apps tab in iTunes.

I did that and iTunes tells me that I'll lose everything on the phone.

Anyway... I downloaded SpringBack and made a copy, just in case. But when I synced, everything magically stayed the same. From searching on other boards, it seems that Infiniboard was causing the issue so I deleted Infiniboard prior to syncing and that seemed to do the trick.
