Can someone help? iTunes not recognizing iPhone or iPad

Me and my bro have been using iTunes for years and now iTunes does not want to recognize our 2 iPhone 4s and 2 iPad 2s. We has been using this same computer windows 7. Yesterday everything was Woking fine and now for no reason it seems iTunes won't detect it. It shows up in my computer when you plug it in and everything but now iTunes just won't recognize them. I tried the trouble shooting with no luck and now I'm just really frustrated. Any ideas why this would be happening?

I would say that's it probably the cord you are using. Try it with a different connector.
