3GS crashes after battery change

I replaced the battery in my iphone 3GS yesterday and it just randomly crashes now. Screen randomly goes black and I have to restart. I have opened it back up to make sure all of the connections are secure. Has anybody heard of anything like this before?

Can you recreate the issue or is it actually random? Like does it crash when doing something specific or not.

Really the only thing I can think of is a loose connection. However, if there was a loose connection it wouldnt turn back on ever time....... Maybe a faulty battery?

Yeah. I got the battery from Ifixit. I think it may be a combination of things. It seems to be ok until the battery gets down to around 70% then it seems to start crashing randomly. The guy at Ifixit told me to restore the phone. I'm leary about that because I don't want to mess with my jailbreak. He said it sounds like a firmware issue but I don't know about that. It's one of those scenarios where it's anything but the product "I sold you".

To answer your question, I did check all of the connections.
