    Default 3GS; iOS 4.1; baseband 05.14.02 upgrade

    Hi all

I'm suffering from the 'other' disk space issue on my iPhone which is currently taking up 9.5gb (!) of space when in iTunes.

I see there is no Cydia fix for this other than a restore and re-jailbreak (is this true?).

As I have baseband 05.14.02 is it safer to restore back to 4.1 for now? If so, are there any guides to help me keep my Cydia and other apps to back up?

As you can see I'm a bit of a noob but would welcome some advice.

    Thanks all

    Colin

A restore should fix it. If you dont want to restore to 4.3, you must check if you have SHSHs saved for your device in order to restore to 4.1 or 4.2.1.

Check in Cydia if you have SHSHs and also use TinyUmbrella on your comp to double-check by clicking "Save SHSHs"

Excellent advice so thank you. I have installed TinyUmbrella and backed up SHSHs as you said.

However, as my baseband is 05.14.02 can I restore to 4.2.1? I don't know if it's possible or worth it! Perhaps a restore to 4.1 for now is the best option?

Thanks again - getting there albeit slowly!
