Interesting thing with Wifi on Baseband 06.15 [iPhone 3G]
Hello there. I have had an interesting night today. I just got a iPhone 3G from my uncle as he wasn't using it and it was on 4.1. I decided to upgrade it to 4.2.1 and then i was trying to get Wifi t work to update the packages in Cydia. When i went to the Wifi toggle to turn it on and connect to my network, there were no networks, so i just turned it on and off again but no networks were turning up either.
I did a full restore again , to 3.1.3 and that didn't work. Upgraded back to 4.2.1, did a factory restore, reset network settings, toggle airplane mode etc.
Finally i tried to toggle bluetooth on and there, wifi started working. I've played with it for just a little and have found that if i turn off bluetooth, 3g data and mobile data. There will be no wifi but if i turn off 3g data and mobile data while bluetooth is on , wifi still stays but the "signal" weakens.
I don't really have any issues about using wifi but i'm just wondering and maybe stating here to see if anyone has similar issues.
I'm having the exact same problem, my wifi didn't work for a while, but now it works and its very weak, like I have to be within like 5' of the router for it to have a full connection, whereas i could be 20' away before
