iTunes No Longer Recoginize my iPhone
OK - hopefully someone will respond:
I recently upgraded iTunes to 10.2.1 and now its not recognizg my iPhone (its stating "Cannot read the contents of XYZ iPhone....RESTORE). The generic iPhone title, the phone's serial #, and ph # are showing on the iTunes summary screen, but it's not syncing. I have Ultrasnow 1.2 on my iPhone for about 2yrs (no issues). I have an iPhone 3G / 3.0, bb 04.26.08. My Device Backup is still showing in iTunes, but I have not backed up my jailbrokens apps w/ the two available apps in Cydia. I've searched online and checked the most common Syncing issues and nothing has worked.
Can anyone suggest what would be the most pain free solution to getting iTunes to recognize my phone. I'm trying to avoid having to restore, losing apps, and having to rejailbreak/unlock the ph. Please, CAN SOMEONE HELP?!!
Thanks

Thx for replying; i've tried powering off/on, holding the power & home button, and reinstalling iTunes. I didn't delete the old iTunes, out of fear I would lose my backup. I haven't heard of wifi sync, but I'll research & try that this evening. Thx!

This is definitely a great app and a good purchase. Unfortunately, it gives me the same Error Message that I get when I attempt to use the USB cable;
"iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone. Go to the summary tab in iPhones preferences and click Restore to restore this iPhone to factory settings"

OK, I am not sure if this is the problem, but it very well may be. Go to Cydia and download iFile, I think there is a trial version, but if not, its definitely worth the money. Open ifile and it will probably start you on the page that says mobile on top. If not, you need to navigate to /var/mobile. The first folder on that page will be Applications. Tap on the arrow to the right, and scroll down to where it says "owner". the owner needs to say mobile, not root. This may fix the problem. If it already says mobile, then this will not be the issue.

I tried the iFile, but it was already showing "mobile". Guess I'll keep troubleshooting, hopefully something will work. lol Thx.
***Update: 3/28***
I upgraded my OS to 4.2.1. - this fixed whatever the issue was. I was able to sync w/ iTunes and Restore from last Back Up. Now my Winterboard lock screen themes will not load. lol Geesh...
***Final Update 3/28***
I found a video online which walks u thru the steps of fixing the Winterboard/OS 4.2.1. lockscreen theme issue...and it worked for me.
