Default iPhone 3GS running unlocked 4.2.1 - NO SOUND ON EXTERNAL SPEAKERS

I unlocked my 3GS for 4.2.1 using redsn0w & ultrasn0w. I was streaming online radio all night and in the middle of thenight the external speaker stopped working. I cannot get any sound (ringtones, unlock sound, music) from the external speaker, only when using my headphones.

I tried everything from hard reset, restoring the phone, plugging/unplugging headphones, all the normal suggestions. I had someone I know from Apple look at it and they think something in Cydia is causing this.

Can anyone please help me out with a solution?

    Thanks!

my phone did this a few times. get the DUST OFF can or any spray air and spray in the headphone port. there is a sensor in there that stops audio to external speakers when it get covered. this is how the iphone knows the headphones are plugged in. i did the same as you, i used it when i went to bed and bed lint built up along with my jeans pocket lint. the genius at the bar blew air into it and viola. give it a try and let me know how it worked out for you.

That didn't work and now my phone is having issues finding my T-Mobile carrier. Thank you though...
