Mms sounds

Hi all i'm new here, i'm sure this has been asked before but is there a way to change sms/mms sounds? Add sounds or assign a custom sound for different contacts?

I have a 3gs, 4.2.1 jb with greenpoison

Yes, you can download them from Cydia apply them via Winterboard.

Most of them via Winterboard don't work on 4.2.1

Those that dont change, I did it it this way...

No SMS tone change after 4.2.1 upgrade

This takes longer, but w/ iFile:

You can download the sounds from Cydia.

Go to /var/stash/Themes.xxx/ and find the folder with the sounds u downloaded.

Copy the sound file

Go to /System/Library/Audio/UISounds and Paste the file in there. 'Overwrite all' when it asks.

***BTW, it's a good idea to FIRST make a copy of the UISounds folder BEFORE you start replacing the stock sound files

Respring and your done! You can even delete Winterboard if you don't want it slowing ur phone down.
