Unlocked iP4 txt messaging issues with AT&T
I'm rocking an unlocked iPhone 4 on 4.2.1 (BB 1.59.00). I'm using this one because my 4.3 iPhone 4 is at Apple getting replaced. Anyway, I can't send picture messages on AT&T and the phone will refuse to send txt messages at all occasionally. Immediately after it refuses to send txts, it won't read my SIM cards (either AT&T or T-Mo). Rebooting doesn't help but it will then fix itself after 5-10 minutes and be fine again.
Not sure why this is. I installed pushfix in Cydia to see if that helped but no dice, it still will happen off and on. Any guesses?

If you install ultrasnow does the ATT sim work fine for texting and everything else?

Sorry, I meant to say uninstall in that post. If you uninstall ultrasnow does all work well with ATT?

Nope, still no MMS
I'm on AT&T and have the iPhone plan (have since 2007) so its not AT&T. Like I mentioned, I'm only using this one because its an extra lying around that I hadn't sold yet while my personal iP4 gets replaced by Apple. So this is a temporary problem but its got me curious and somewhat frustrated.Last edited by jdm.accord; 03-15-2011 at 01:05 PM.

That is odd, dont know much about MMS myself since we dont have it here but it should be working for you, especially with ultrasnow uninstalled. Weird.

I've used an unlocked iP4 on AT&T before (on 4.1 FW) and never had this issue. Has me baffled. Ima see if T-Mo MMS works and if it does, than maybe its my SIM card being finicky. That would be a strange coincidence though that the card was being problematic at the same time I switched phones.
