i followed this tutorial Jailbreak iOS 4.3 on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch, iPad with Sn0wbreeze 2.3b1 [How To]
and downloaded the ipsw for iPhone 4 here ipsw iphone 4 4.3
and followed the steps in the tutorial and all seemed to go well, but my iphone seemed to freeze after. it wont load. i saw the snowbreeze logo on the iphone then it went to the apple logo and had the load circle but would freeze there. it was like that 15 mins so i unplugged it and tried to restore it but it wont show up on itunes. can anyone help me?
Ive never seen that error before. The only thing I can recommend is to either restore to stock 4.3 or try with a custom 4.3 made by unofficial pwnagetool if you're persistent on trying to jb 4.3.
you need to use a cp that has never had tu on.i had same problem,when you have cp that has never had tu on it just do full restore you wont get any silly warnings after that use sb then shift restore to the custume fermware you have made then you will see apple logo you think its frozen but its not just put your phone in dfu and run ibooty that will kick the apple logo out then your done
-> Goto Control Panel
-> System and Security
-> Windows Firewall
-> Turn Windows Firewall On or off (on left panel)
-> Click on Turn off Windows Firewall and try again to update
thanks for all your help though. appreciate it a lot. quick responses and everything. i will just wait till a proper jailbreak is out for 4.3, learnt my lesson haha.
i used 3 different computers and had 3 different problems. my main comp said i had no room left and that i had to delete things but i had plenty of room. so i tried my macbook pro but since im running tiger on it, my iphone wouldnt run properly. so i tried my bros laptop, i got an error 10 and read that's due to an old version of itunes so i updated that and tried it. got the error 3601 and read different things and finally read the solution i posted. went to bed as it was around 2 am, woke up this morning before work, went back to my main comp and turned my firewall off and got it going. that was a long process haha. thanks again for all your help.
