Locked Out of iPhone 3GS--Don't Know Lockcode
Fist time poster.
Thank you in advance.
I'll try my best to explain what I did.
Please don't ask me WHY I did what I did....LOL
OK, I bought a 3GS today that had a locked screen.
Of course my timing sucks, because iTunes wanted to restore and update the phone to 4.3, not 4.2.1. I wanted to avoid that.
So without knowing what firmware was installed, I tried a custom restore to 4.2.1. Didn't work. Then I tried a jailbreak with Greenpoison and that took, as evidence by the "skull" boot logo. But I still had a locked screen. Then I got really stupid and did a redsnow jailbreak with 4.2.1 restore. Still have locked screen.
I tried a regular iTunes restore and that doesn't work.
When I try a 4.2.1 custom restore, iTunes gives me a 3194 error.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Should I try loading older versions of custom restores?

I need a tutorial on "preparing a custom iPhone 3gs ramdisk"
I can follow directions, but I have no clue what that is.
Googling it hasn't produced anything I can understand.

Trypt4mine,
Thank you very much for your time.
I did manage to restore it with sn0wbreeze.

So now I am running a custom 4.3 ipsw.
My baseband is 06.15.00
Cydia is NOT installed
Is it still possible for me to jailbreak and unlock?
Could anyone please point a blind man in the right direction?
THANK YOU!!!!!

Sounds like the jb was incomplete if you don't have Cydia.
You can either try again or try to downgrade to 4.2.1. Not sure if that has stopped being signed yet (I feel like it has) but if it has SHSHs are needed to downgrade with custom 4.2.1.
Otherwise you will be stuck with what you have if no SHSHs are present if 4.2.1 is no longer being signed.
