Hello,
My macbook died, and I got a new Mac. I want to sync my iPhone, but I want to make sure I don't lose all my iPhone content (music, apps, podcasts, contacts, notes, etc).
I know I can transfer purchases with iTunes, but I it doesn't mention notes, etc, not to mention my non-purchased music files.
What should I do? Who can help me?
Thanks in advance.
It will sync everything except you none purchased music. ANd all you have to do is either A get a tool off the internet some are free but the good ones are 20 bucks or B ssh into it and drag the music out into itunes manually
Log-in in to your iTunes account on your new Mac and then sync as normal. You'll be asked if you want to copy stuff from your iPhone to Mac (which you probably want to do) and then you should be able to continue as normal. Remember to authorize your new Mac with your iTunes account as well.
What's more, this article how to transfer or backup iPhone contents to Mac maybe can make a effort of transfering iPhone content to mac.
Hope that helps you out.
Depends on how you did your backup and what the restore method is. If you know how exactly to restore the backup it shouldn't be a problem.
Shouldn't there be a way to just transfer your data from your iPhone to your Mac though? Sync your Mac with the phone? Maybe get that backup restored to your Mac?
I have a Mac, but not an iPhone (Android user here), and I don't really bother with syncing (I just copy what I need).
