Default giving "old" iphone to kid

I gave my daughter my iphone 3gs to use. Right now she just uses it for games and gets on wi-fi. Whats the best/cheapest way to enable her to use it as a phone? I see some people just get a go-phone SIM?

Yes AT&T or h2o will work. I can remember if you have to unlock for h2o to work but im thinking you don't because it runs off AT&T. Saw a user who said he had it working. Maybe I'll go find that thread. H2o is supposed to have better deals.

Just found two threads confirming H2o works without unlock. So check out the plan options for both goPhone and H2o

You're looking at prepaid plans right? Then yes they'd be monthly refill cards or monthly refill payments.

Ohhhh..maybe thats not what im looking for. Just looking really for something she can use to make calls. Not looking for any type of 3g or anything. Just some sort of pre-paid card i can get and just fill up when need be.

It's a pay as you go plan from AT&T. Go to AT&T and activate the sim card as a pay as you go and say you one do the 100 yearly plan then if she goes over her mins you can refill it and if not then it only cost you 100 dollars for a whole year of service.

Ps do not say your putting it in an iPhone just say you have an old razr or something at home

What's the $100/year plan and does it include data? The only prepaid plans I saw on AT&Ts site were $2/day, and it seemed like just adding a line to a family plan would be a bit cheaper than that.

I thought there were different options like T-Mobile? My parents chose to do $100 a year but when I had T-Mobile I did a month-to-month.

I just thought there were different types of prepaid where you could use refill cards/refill payments or you could choose to put one large sum of like $100 and get x amount of minutes for the year.

Edit: I mean doesn't AT&T have options like TMobile. Didn't mean to try and use T-Mobile.
