Problem with gmail set up as exchange server contact sync
Hello,
I have my iPhone 4 gmail account setup as an exchange server. However anytime I update or Add a contact on the iPhone, it doesn't update in my gmail? It never used to do that before. I installed this Facebook sync on my phone recently but I don't know whether or not it ruined it. Does anyone have answers?

Go into your settings on your phone and check your gmail exchange account. It should have toggles for syncing email, contacts, and calendars. Make sure it didn't get unset there.

All of those are on...
Still no good....
Did the Jailbreak mess things up? It's been like that since 4.1. I am now on 4.2.1

A lot of people use exchange sync, so I think if there were any general problems with it in the jailbreak, they'd be caught before it was released, or there would be more talk of them on the forums.
Do you only notice phone -> gmail syncing not working, or is both directions not working? Are calendar and push email syncing ok? You could also try deleting and re-adding the account on your phone, and possibly temporarily removing the Facebook sync you mentioned (I have no experience with this or know if it could cause any problems).Only those who attempt the absurd will achieve the impossible. -- M.C.
