Need help!!!

I have a 3g that im trying to unlock for tmobile...Let me start from the beginning. I found my brothers broken iphone that i bought parts for. I replaced the from assembly and bullsh!t like that and so i restored it with itunes. Now my phone says "No Sim Card Installed, Insert a valid SIM with no PIN lock to activate phone". I took my moms sim from her non-iphone phone and tryed it in mine but it did not work,, it was an att sim. I tryed to restore the phone with the sim in it and that didnt work either. Can some one respond ASAP on what i need to do. I have no idea what firmware its on.

It should of worked with your moms sim. Maybe the sim reader is broken. Take the screen off and make sure you see 6 prongs where the sim card should be v

yea i do see 6 copper prongs

Are the flattened or anything? Are you using the phone on Att?

nope they are not flattened at all. The phone was being used for att before i got it. The sim i tryed with it was att also. Is there anything i can do?

Try a different sim

And your on 4.2.1 and you have the latest version of iTunes?

4.2.1? i have no clue but yes i have the latest version of itunes

Does the logic board have water damage?

You will see little red dots instead of white dots on the logic board
