Jailbroken Iphone 3g DATA STOPPED WORKING

I have an Iphone 3g that's jailbroken and unlocked. Recently I synced and the data connection stopped working. Wifi works fine. The data and 3g buttons turn on but I never get the icon on the top bar and there's no signal.

Anyone have experience with this? I'm starting to hate Apple for all the restrictions...

I also quit using Ibooks because it slowed the phone down so bad, 10 second delays.

I jailbroke my 3gs with my simcard in the phone & it fried it I lost all signal & obviously needed a new card,went to my carrier store & they handed me a new one free..try replacing your simcard & or just try removing it & putting it back in reseating the contacts on the sim may work.....Also make sure Data roaming is turn ON in Settings/general/Network

But I didn't lose all signal and it only happened after syncing. I've only lost the data signal, it works fine for calls and texting. This is not a SIM issue. I'm running a Russian sim as I live in Russia, the same sim I've been running for a year.
