Video MP4 File Location
Friends,
Quick question...
I transfered a mp4 movie that I encoded with handbrake thru i-tunes to my 4.2.1 iPhone4. I performed a file search using ifunbox and couldn't locate it. Where does this data get placed?
Its a pain in the butt using itunes to do all this. Prefer the manual method.
Please advise and Thank You,

It should be var/mobile/media/downloads. That's where all my stuff goes

You could also try ssh into your device and use the drag and drop method, doing things thru iTunes is a drag sometimes

If I remember correctly, it will be in: var/mobile/media/iTunes_Control/Music/.
You'll have to look for the videos by hand, unfortunately. Just look for the .mp4 extension to stand out among the .mp3's.

Yeah, pretty much all songs and videos go through a weird naming process by iTunes, so finding it by hand would be difficult. Unfortunately you must use iTunes for this if you want to be able to view the video with the iPod app, though if the video itself is iPhone-compatible (which I believe yours is) then you can just plop it anywhere on your filesystem and use iFile to play it back.
