Every so often I like to completely wipe out and erase ALL settings, data on my iphone 4. I know from reading that this isn't a good thing to do because of the jailbreak and having to restore the iOS / Firmware. I have done this many times, no biggie and never had a problem re-jailbreaking etc..
Anyways, what IS the best method by performing a complete and total wipe of the device w/o having to perform the apple iOS restore or is there?
If I sync to a empty i-tunes account will that nuke everything. Cause I have had it before where there was some corrupt data, hence the restore and everything is fixed again..
If there's nothing in the account it shouldn't do anything but erase any data. I've done it plenty of times. I have a computer with no music, apps, or contacts in iTunes, sync with that and all the apps, contacts, etc go away. Except for photos, I think I have to wipe those manually. But I usually just do a restore...
