    Default Hiding the Photos App

For some reason, the Photos app on my iPhone is not available to hid in boss prefs or to move into a folder in categories. I'm on an iPhone 4, 4.2.1 jailbroke with Pwnage tool (though the same thing happened with greenpois0n before I restored and rejailbroke.

Why don't you just use the iOS folders on your iPhone?

Because of the 12 icon limit. I suppose I could download a free app and put the photos app in an iOS folder with it. Does anyone know if you can put an iOS folder in a categories folder?

I don't think so because Categories looks for Apps, but the iOS folders are actually classified as apps in the system.

You used to be able to. After upgrading to 4.2.1 it hasn't been possible. Nothing but problems since upgragding to 4.2.1

I've noticed that too, photos app is being weird on 4.2.1 jb with gp.

Perhaps try an app that locks your apps?

It probably has something to do with the filenames in 4.2.1 being slightly different. So bossprefs isn't able to find the photos app since it may be renamed. Happens sometimes with updates.

Makes sense. Just wondering why it's only the photos app, works fine with any other.

Because all the other apps probably still have the same filenames they had on previous firmwares. Same thing affects winterboard sometimes.

    No prob
Apple likes to rename stuff in there file system sometimes. I think they do it just to mess with us jailbreakers lol.
