Hi there, i'm trying to find out if it is possible to get my iphone to check for email's faster then every 15mins?
all the post's i have seen are all old one's, there must be away to do this i.e ssh in to the phone and edit a file or some think like that, can some help me with this coz its starting to bug me looking around for answer,

Is your email Gmail? If so, set it up by specifying it as an 'Exchange' account type on your iPhone (instead of an 'Gmail' account type).

This allows your Google Gmail, Calendar, and Contacts to use 'push' syching to your iPhone.

You can setup hotmail as exchange now to so that it works with push.

I want to know if there if a file I can edit for them to be pushed faster to me, like every 5mins and not the 15 it is set to

There probably is some sort of settings tweak in cydia to shorten the time but setting it up with push mail is better. I get my emails normally a few seconds after they are sent to me. If you go the manual way and shorten the time between checks then it will drain your battery very quickly.

I am telling you how. Set it up as a exchange account. That way the emails are pushed to you. No waiting....
