Help needed iPhone 4

I have a iPhone 4
4.2.1 jailbroken
Baseband 1.59.00
I have a problem with the sleep / power button it's really stiff need to firmly press down on it.. I want to call apple and exchange it but can I alter the baseband so it upgrades to normal
Like from another computer just do a restore or not..

Or even easier is there a fix I herd it's a common problem... The sleep button. Rattles while I shake the phone. The phone has never been dropped just happened suddenly
