iPhone 4 (jailbroken) crashes everytime a text message is recieved

Hello, i have recently jailbroken my iPhone 4 4.2.1 using GreenPois0n, and these few days my phone has been restarting everytime i get a text message. Whats happening? I've downloaded CrashReporter and it seems that most of the crashes are because of SpringBoard. What can i do?

I have a jailbroken iPhone 3GS 4.2.1 using GreenP0ison, with the same problem, everytime I recieve a text message my phone crashes and it goes into safe mode... Could use some help here 2

im having the same problem as the dude above.. and restoring and rejailbreaking isnt doin anything. the jailbreak will work for a few hours untill i start downloading stuff from cydia.

When you fella's restored did you set your phone as a new phone or did you use your most recent backup? I read somewhere on MMY once that you should restore as a new phone so you don't mix jailbreaks.

i upgraded to 4.2.1 from 4.0 and i didnt need to back up but i did the jail break through green poison and it worked but it crashes.
then i tried to restore it and try it again then i used my most recent back up. idk what to do know when i restore my phone it says i have no service..

I had the same problem and I had BITESMS, once I removed it everything has been fine. I've done some research and BiteSMS has not yet been updated for 4.2.1. If it didn't crash, my texts/calls would never get it out. I'd always gets call failed/error sending message. So if you have BiteSMS, get rid of it, unfortunately there are no other quick reply programs updated for 4.2.1 as of yet. If that's not the problem, then you need to restore and rejailbreak. When I first JB my phone with greenpois0n RC5 I saw a little glitch when putting into DFU mode and I've also heard if your phone is NOT completely shutoff when putting into DFU mode your JB will be screwed up and you will get a glitch with installing sources from cydia as well as a possible glitch with sending text messages.

i dont have bitsms however i think it could be winterboard cuz it wouldnt crash untill i downloaded a few apps from cydia. but idk im still workin on it. and if i cant get it to work im just gonna downgrade to 4.1

thats another one i was thinking it could be cuz thats one i had. but i rejailbroke it and its working fine right now. i havent downloaded one thing yet from cydia. havent even put a source in yet. im gonna go one at a time.
