    Default Password forgotten

I have had a 3GS laying around since last June when I got my I4, well I just went to turn it on for the 1st time since then and I have totally forgotten the password! Is there anyway to restore it and get around my forgotten password? Or is it now a paper weight?

This is not my tip, but i read it a few days ago give it a try
Have someone call the phone, answer it. Then you'll be in and can goto settings and change it.

Oh then just restore it. That will work, just watch for upgrade/ unlock issues. If they apply to you

Buy a micro SIM adapter for your 3GS and put your iPhone 4's micro sim in it. It's already activated.

Sounds good, otherwise just restoring it will reset everything? I'm just gonna let my 6yr old use it as a iPod and to watch movies and play games.

As long as you don't restore from back up the restore will remove the password.
