Default 4.2.1 jailbreak, is it worth upgrading?

I'm running 4.1, jailbroken with Limera1n. Is it worth upgrading to 4.2.1 and jailbreak with with GreenPoison before 4.3 comes out? Is there any value in doing this? What's the time table on jailbreak (untethered) for 4.3 gonna be? I just have alot of tweaks installed and reinstalling everything through Cydia again isn't that fun.

YES! The new greenpois0n is very efficient, doesn't affect my phones speed whatsoever. Plus a few more cool things:
Custom animated bootlogos (so fun to make your own )
My phone now resprings in literally 4 seconds, whereas on 4.1 w/ limera1n it could take up to 10-15 secs.

i wouldnt bother. its a pain re-installing everything

the only reason i upgraded, was because my phone froze and was stuck at the apple logo, so i figured, might as well upgrade to a newer OS. Before that i was still running 4.0.1(jailbreakme.com)

Proswitcher doesn't work. You'd have to switch to multifl0w.

Back on topic, I upgraded to 4.2.1 just to get find my iPhone. It's not much different from 4.1 aside from find my iPhone.

That's probably bc the new Cydia is incorporated in the jb. 4.1 can include the new Cydia too if you use redsn0w 0.9.6rc8 to jb it rather than the older greenpois0n and limera1n

Yeah, 4.2.1 does seem a tad bit faster than 4.1. So the slight speed bonus, along with AirPrint, AirPlay, FindMyiPhone, and custom boot logos are the new features in the update. Nothing major. If you don't upgrade, you aren't missing out on too much.

Use AptBackup to make the process of upgrading easier. It makes a list of all the Cydia installations you currently have, backs it up in an iTunes backup, and then after you upgrade, just install the app again and press restore. It's really handy and it's free.

I upgraded from 4.0.1 and am really glad I did. Re-installing everything was not fun, but not a big deal. I noticed GPS reception is really fast now, even inside my house where it couldn't receive before. Imporvements to the camera, and it remembers that I keep the auto flash off. And I could finally install apps like 8mm Camera that refused to install on 4.0.1.
