Need insight on situation
January 8th I got robbed at gunpoint and the robber took 400 dollars my wallet and my iphone 4....keep in mind i dont have insurance..probably because i never lose phones and i really wasnt planning on getting robbed i had every iphone since the metal back....anyway i call ATT to tell them i got robbed and i would like to see if there was a way to replace my phone because i have a police report and all...so they said the only way i can get another phone is if i pay 500 which i didnt have at the moment because i just lost 400 in cash and my bill was due that monday which was 211.59 bcuz i just got my girl an iphone 4 for christmas and added her to my plan...my girl has insurance cuz we just activated it since it wasnt 30 days since she had the phone....so my question is if i report the other phone i have on my plan as lost will they send me another phone through the insurance...and if they do will they unactivate the phone i have in my possesion now?i understand its not their fault i got robbed but its not mine neither...and my bill for next month is 176.00 so im paying for 2 phones when im only using one...can i get the other phone disconnected and save asome money on the bill until i get 500 to get another phone if the insurance thing doesnt work?

You know you are talking insurance fraud. I don't think they approve of that here.
with that said, get a cheap phone and a replacement sim. once sim is installed you should be able to go into you account online and remove the data plan.
*If you have unlimited data you can probably kiss that goodbye when you get your new iphoneLast edited by qnc; 02-11-2011 at 08:33 AM.
