Statusbar issue?

Hi guys!

Recently got a hold of an iPhone 3GS, so i jailbroke+unlocked it.

Now all is working fine, except the statusbar? This may be a small issue but i gotta be honest, it bugs me like crazy.

The wifi icon, i can see it on the lockscreen statusbar. (Where its just Carrier+Signal bars + Wifi icon + Lock icon + Battery.)

It vanished when i unlock the iPhone, when a few new things are on the statusbar. When unlocked theres the following:

Carrier Name+Signal Bars - Date/Time - Battery.

Now i think either the carrier name is too long, or the date/time are to close to the carrier name, so the phone decides to simply not show the wifi icon.

Is there any way i can either;

A.) Move the date/time down a little bit closer to the battery?
B.) Remove the date and just keep the time?

-Any suggestions are appreciated.

Edit; seems i found a solution. Simply downloaded "MakeItMine" and changed the carrier to just "Vodafone"
wifi icon is back now. Thought i'd share incase anyone gets as freaked out as me when their icons dont show up in the status bar :P
