A new faster Cydia??

I once read about a new Cydia app that you could manually install. Runs faster basically. Is this available? If so where?

It would be nice if they would just give Cydia a face lift completely. As big as it is now it should look better IMO. Maybe even a new icon besides brown! I;d use a custom one but I really don't like using Winterboard.

There has been several alternative cydia apps, but all were either bought out or the developers stopped. The last on to go was rockapp a few weeks ago. You can still instal through command line if you want to do it fast.

if you dont like the icon and dont like winterboard... just change the icon in the root folder... just back up the icon. 98% of my theme is all modified root files. (ill never like stock iphone icons, especially compared to mine) and as much as i love winterboard... i just like that my theme is more permanent and non relying.

Cydia update suggestion:

A Cydia computer program like iTunes with the ability to download the apps on your computer from the internet and install them through usb (like itunes)

That would be awesome for someone in my situation where I don't have reliable cellular data and can't connect the phone to wifi without an app, which I can't install without reliable cellular data or wifi....ugh
