Thumbs down [solved] SMS/biteSMS problem - crashing on send
Hey guys So I upgraded to 4.2.1 yesterday, clean restore so it was wiped clean. Jailbroke with GP, no problems. I wanted to restore my old text messages back, so I copied the sms.db and bitesms.db over via SSH, it seemed to work, all my old texts were there. But my friend said she text me today, and I didn't recieve it. I tried to text her there, and both apps crash when I press send. So I copied the original .db files back over, but I'm still getting the same problem, crashing on send. I tried to reinstall biteSMS, no luck though, same problem! Do you guys know of a fix? Like maybe reinstalling the original sms.app somehow? I really don't want to restore, it's been so much effort setting everything up and I really don't want to go through all that again lol! Thanks for reading

Edit: Silly me, after a deeper search into the forums I found a few answers. I uninstalled biteSMS, deleted the sms.db from SMS.app, rebooted the iPhone and all is well. Ofcourse I lost all texts (like 8k+ in a few months lol), but I'm fine with that I guess, kinda expected that after a clean restore anyway. I'm just glad I can now send/receive texts without having to restore all over again!

If a mod wants to close/delete this, feel free. Might be handy to stay open for a while incase someone else tried to restore sms messages after upgrading to 4.2.1!

I could use some assistance. I did what you did in bold above, and I am still running into the crashing sms app. Any ideas?
