No SMS tone change after 4.2.1 upgrade

Can somebody verify if you have the same problem? I upgraded to iOS 4.2.1 untethered and everything works good but the SMS tones. I can select them but the tone don't change. Somebody else have this problem?

HOLY TIHS!! I'm running 4.2.1 jailbroken on a 3G with redsnow and I have the same problem. Doesn't seem to be a jailbreak issue, I guess.

I did it in this way, download iPhone Explorer, (google it),
connect your iPhone with the computer using data cable and run iPhone Explorer. Go to Root/System/Library/Audio/UISounds there are six iPhone SMS tone messages by default all you got to do is replace one of the originals with the file tone that you downloaded from Cydia to use with winterboard that don't work. First you have to take a backup of the original iPhone SMS tone so rename sms-received1.caf to sms-received1.caf.bak now rename your SMS ringtone file that one that you downloaded from Cydia to sms-received1.caf as well, the file that you want to transfer to iPhone as SMS tone. Now drag and drop sms-received1.caf file to iPhone Explorer’s file area in Root/System/Library/Audio/UISounds folder. Now close iPhone Explorer. Reboot your iPhone, Now apply iPhone SMS tone that you have transferred from settings then sounds and text message tone, this one replaced the tri-tone of your txt messages with the new tone, the name on your default tone are not going to change but your tone will do. If you want to add more all you got to do is change them all in the same way. After this you can delete the tone from winterboard and its going to still working. Remember to uncheck the tone from winterboard after you apply this mod. To have access to the SMS tones files on winterboard that you downloaded from Cydia with iPhone Explorer go to Applications/Winterboard.app then look for the folder UISounds, they are there. This modification are for tones that don't work for winterboard from Cydia. The tones that shows new on your iPhone don't work on iOS 4.2.1

I upgraded to 4.2.1 last week and everything was fine till last night. All of a sudden my SMS tone will not work. Why did this happen and how can we fix this??

My tones act weird. They work , but it would cut out in the middle of the tone. So I downloaded another one and now it makes the incoming tone even when I'm in the messages app. Usually it would just make the receiving swoosh default tone. No biggie though.

my first sms tone i got didn't work, a 2nd one did. Also I cant change the color of the sms bubbles. they are all selected in winterboard and i used them all on 4.0.1 but not working on 4.2.1. booooo

and cant change the carrier text with make it mine or the other cydia app.
