I see this as complimentary to vLingo. I have VC set to activate with short vol down hold and vLingo with short vol up hold. vLinog is great to dictate an sms or email (most useful although it gets a bunch wrong i need to correct but net affect is faster than typing i think). I also use it to do a quick web search.
With VA, so far, i use it launch some apps buried in my folders, go to web pages i check frequently, control system wide actions. This is most useful when phone is locked and i can do all this without ever unlocking phone. Big time saver. Here is the key. VA relies on activator for system stuff. You can make activator actions as plugins on top of what rp provides. This should now make adding activator actions more relevant for people now that they can be called from VA.
Although i still do not understand the speak command. How is it useful?

Anyone know where the database file are located? I use Backboard and switch between themes often. Backboard makes a backup (snapshot) of all settings so you can cutomize for each theme. Result,I have to enter all voiceactivator commands for each theme each time I add a new one.
