Uh the other phones he mentions are either 5 years old or do not do what he claims and are not designed the same

Also the Formula for the signal strength is wrong? WT? how long has Apple made Iphones and this is a reason and answer?

Why not just say "I screwed up?" and leave it at that?

I never saw this with jobs telling us that "other phones" suffer the same problem.......... maybe Apple will be better off without him, its a lame way to say your wrong, Apple has a faulty design and its not Nokia's fault.

You know I came back because, yes I think your rude, this is not the news area, it matters because the clip is Jobs himself, his words not quoted, I think to some people it matters.

I thought to share it, if you want to forget and bury this under the rug go ahead, but never never let me see you and others who agree with you bring up the old M$ stole OSX argument, since its way older.............................

Besides has anew version of Iphone 4 come out without the problem or are the Iphone 4's sold right now still suffering the problem? Yes they are so its relevant.

I don't think he was being rude, this press event was big news when it happened, from the announcement, to the coverage, to the free bumper program, covered by multiple reports on most tech news sites, and discussed in these forums.

That being said all phones (and radio systems in general) suffer attenuation from physical obstruction. That's how physics works. How much it's attenuated, and how that's reflected in the not-standard "bars" is implementation specific, but it always happens. What's specific to the iP4 is the "hotspot" that some people can get large attenuation just by touching. This isn't quite the same thing as blocking the radio waves, it has more to do with de-tuning the antenna. If Steve lied, it was by implying that these separate problems were the same thing. Most people, including me, have never had a problem with it, so I'm not sure what you mean by phones sold now still suffering the problem? They have the same antenna design as far as I know. If you buy a phone and it doesn't work, you can take it back.
