"Unable to join network...."
I have found a few threads on this but no solution. I'm unable to log in to my home wifi on a 3G running 4.2.1 JB with newest redsn0w on iPad BB. Never used thus phone on this wifi before so cannot "forget network". For obvious reasons I can't do a stock restore.
The phone picks up my wifi and when I try to log in with my password it says unable to join network. I've messed with my router settings and even changed the password and still no luck. My personal phone connects to it fine. I even had to login with née password on it and no problems.
I have a custom 4.2.1 restore (thank you to a certain Mod). I will try that tonight but am wondering if anyone has found a reason or true fix for this problem. Thanks.

try a network reset
Settings, general, reset, network reset.I come bearing a gift. I'll give you a hint. It's in my diaper and it's not a toaster.

I have done EVERYTHING to this phone and nearly bricked it twice in the process! Does anyone know what could be causing this.

It's a U-verse 2wire gateway. I have used 3 other iPhones on it and never had this problem before.

Hmmm interesting, is it brand new?? And have you tried a restore??Or some other place that has wifi and tried logging in. If it refuses to let you on any wifi then I'd tAke it in.
Edit:
Sorry didn't read everything thoroughly. Sorry to say but it sounds like a bad custom firmware.
