I'll try to keep it simple
This is for a friend:
I have an iPod touch 4g
I want to plug it into my tv and use it to stream netflix
I will not pay $50 for apples cable

Is the picture quality going to be good over wifi?
And can someone link to a cable I can buy to do this? A non-$50 cable? Will ones off eBay work?

If you want it to work optimally, those 50 dollar cables are the way to go
Apple has a chip in the cables, only theirs work perfectly. If it's jailbroken you could use "resupported", but I have sooooo many idevices the cables were a great buy

Then i don't think you realize just how much of a ripoff those cables are. They should be about $10. They are the epitome of what I hate about apple.
Anyone else have any recommendations?
