Iphone 2G 3.1.3 freezing all the time

Hello
So here is the story..I have and iphone 2g jail/unlock using redsnow under 3.1.3 firmw.
When I restore it seems to work find..but after installing some cydia stuff it starts freezing all the time and th eonly way I can get out of it is power+home.
Sometimes I am not able to hear calls because it just doesnt ring or even when it does I am not able to pick up the call.
The applications I install from cydia are:
irealsms 3.0
openssh
and some other files cydia or these aps install on their own.
Can someone please help me?

Re Jailbreak and set up as a new phone and not from backup

Thats exactly what I have done 3 times already and no luck
