no unlock for iPhone 4 atm, regardless of what google says. only trust sites such as mmi or the dev team blog. that software would likely be virus filled. but there Is a 4.2.1 jailbreak, but that's tethered. meaning, everytime you iPhone requires a restart or loses all battery, you've gotta rerun the jb application! in my opinion, not worth it. so untill there's an unlock for iPhone 4, best to stay on the 3g!

You should contact Orange and see if they can unlock it for you. I know O2 does, not sure about Orange but it is worth a shot.

Orange will unlock the phone as long as your Sister is still running the contract. And they will do this free of charge all she will need to do is phone them up and explain she wants to use the phone abroad with another SIM and they will unlock it as long as she keeps paying her contract

when i had a orange pay and go lg viwety b4 i had to keep it on orange for 6 months and top up 20 pound but even if they want 20 it will still be worth it as i only paid her 250 for the ipone 4
She phoned them and they said the phone has to be activated for 3 months b4 they can give out the unlock codeLast edited by ian2494; 01-19-2011 at 09:41 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Yes that's the official line, I would get her to phone back and say she is going abroad for a extended holiday and she wants it doing now and she has been a loyal customer and what difference does it make to unlock it now or in another 2 months, Get her to speak to a manager and say she will look at moving her business. They can do it they are just fobbing her off with the official line.
It's worth a shot
