Given up!!!!!!!!!!! on old phone and new question about SMS tones

I have given uo trying to sort out the 3G iphone, and traded it in for a new 3gs instead.

so my next question,
with out JB this phone is it possible to change the SMS tones,to something with a bit more lkife in it, i think I read somewhere that you have to replace the existing tones as you cant add new ones,

Without jailbreak, no it is not possible.

You would need to ssh into your phone to replace the tones and without Jailbreak you can not ssh into your phone
