Questions about Multitasking on IOS 4

Just a question about multitasking on ios 4.2.1.....

When an app goes into the background (banking app for example)
does it still use up my data??

is the only way to close an app by double clicking home then the "-"
button??

Is there any way to disable the background/multitask feature on
some apps?

this is a great feature for a music player etc but not so good for some stuff!!

and finally if there is no way to "disable" or control these "features"
any news on a future update to do so?? 4.3 hopefully??

The application when in the backgound is simply suspended in memory so it shouldn't be burning data unless it's designed to. It basically pauses or freezes the app in current state temp. You can't disable multitasking & easiest way is what you are already doing. Apps don't officially close anymore & yes I agree with you that it sucks no option to turn off. Next iOS 4.3 it's doubtful they would make such changes, if anything likely they would tweak it further

Thanks for moving it...wasn't sure because my iPhone 4 isn't modded...

@dbellca82.....thanks....was just worried about my data being used...I really wish that I could set up the apps the way I want to with multitasking....to be able to enable of disable it for EACH app would be awesome....
well hopefully in the future we could get this kind of customization WITHOUT having to Jailbreak and void the warranty....sigh....
