    Default WinSCP on WIN7

Anybody else here using a D-link router and have troubles connecting to your iphone with winscp? Mine is so intermitten that it is virtually unusable. I can try connecting, and eventually, it will indeed connect, and stay connected for a couple minutes..but if I let it set, it drops connection. Sometimes it takes me as much as 15 minutes worth of retrying to even get it to connect. I used winSCP in the past a lot with no issues, but I'm thinking my problems started when I got this D-link router. I was using funbox, but I would like to get this issue figured out, any help or tips would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

SSH connections are fairly minor from a network standpoint.. they don't use much bandwidth (to connect), and they stay in a single TCP socket. Here's some ideas to help troubleshoot the source of the problem:
    • Try another SFTP (SSH) client. I use Filezilla for Windows currently.
    • Try a local connection with an iOS SSH client (find a free trial).
Also remember that if your phone goes into standby, your WiFi signal drops and you'll loose connection. I imagine if you've been doing this for a while though, you already know that .
