Default To JB or not to JB

Hey folks I was considering JB for the first time, for iPhone 4 on 4.2.1 but waiting for redsnOw untethered for Windows Vista. As I do, I did a lot of reading on the subject and have tried to get my head around what's involved. This forum has been most beneficial in that respect. However I'm seeing SO MANY people with problems from attempting to JB that now I'm having doubts. Sounds to me like its worth waiting quite a while. Am I right?!

I would suggest wait until a untethered jailbreak is out. You will have less issues then.

wait for an untethered 4.2 jb and then do it! problems are few and far between, once you see how everything works then theyre even less. and when/if you get a problem then you can use these forums for help fixes are mostly easy and a simple restore ALWAYS fixes major issues

Yeah. Thanks for your opinions folks. I will wait for the untethered. The benefits of JB certainly seem worth it. Guess I won't B updating to 4.3 either...not that there appears to be anything in it for iPhone 4 that is mind blowing. Hey, last question. Once JB, does it matter what version of iTunes I sync with? Does updating iTunes affect JB at all or is it only updating iPhone?

IMO, Jailbreaking is worth it - I'm on the 4.2.1 Tethered JB and I rarely turn my phone off - I have had no other noticable issues with this current JB

I personally would wait for an un tethered.

You say that you read a lot of problems on here, well let me put your mind to rest. This is full of people that are experiencing problems but if you put that against people that jailbreak their phone it is a small percentage, nobody comes on here and says my phone is working great LOL.

Most problems that people encounter are due to them not following steps correctly (not all) and could have been avoided in the first place.

But rest assured if something did go wrong (not that it will) you can come here for some EXPERT advise.
