Iphone 4 Help Needed.

Okay, So I jailbroke on 4.1 with limerain (a month back). It ran fine and life was dandy. I put my phone in airplane mode at a band practice yesterday for my drummer to use a metronome. Took it off airplane mode, worked fine. So today, I didn't get any texts or calls, and I was feeling pretty loserish. Got on fb and some people asked me why I hadn't been responding.

So here's whats going on. I can make calls and send texts, but cannot receive either. After hours of trying to see if something was up in Sbsettings and other apps, I gave in and just restored and upgraded to 4.2.1, considering an unjailbroken phone is better than a phone that doesn't function. After losing all my crap, I've come to find that it STILL DOESN'T WORK. I'm no longer jailbroken, and my phone still goes straight to voicemail and doesn't receive texts. Any ideas for what I should do?

Take your SIM out and hard reset. When you restored, did you set the phone up as new?

No I didn't set it up as a new, should i do that first and then if that doesn't work do the sim?

That's likely the issue. Restoring from backup probably carried over the issue. Setting up as new will likely fix it so restore it again.

That's rather quick...usually takes me at least 10 minutes to restore. Well anyway, hard reset it with the SIM out and re-insert the SIM when the phone is on.

If that doesn't work, you might consider getting it replaced if it isn't working on a clean unjailbroken phone
