Advice for USA sim card while there for the summer. Thanks!
Hey guys, I was wondering where i could get advice on using my iPhone in the USA over the summer, and then I thought this would be the best place!

I am from Scotland and I use an unlocked iPhone 4, I will be in the USA for four months and I will need a pay and go sim card, if you even get that in the USA, which I can use in my iPhone. I will need texts, minutes and data and I have no clue how to go about looking at whats available from the USA carriers, and what is the best deals for a temporary user.
Any advice on this is greatly appreciated!!
Cheers!!

I know it is pretty easy in the UK to get a pay as you go with all that stuff. Unsure about the US. Maybe someone with some knowledge of ATT pay as you go plans will see this and help.

You have two options here in the states, ATT (official carrier), or T-Mobile (GSM Carrier)
Since ATT is the official carrier, you wont be able to use data with their prepaid sims.
Your best bet would be to grab a t-mobile pre-paid sim, with the proper APN settings, you will have everything your looking for.
For more information about the settings, check out the t-mobile subsection.I come bearing a gift. I'll give you a hint. It's in my diaper and it's not a toaster.
